When should I buy a new lock?

Our experts recommend changing your lock when you believe it is in bad shape or if you want to upgrade to a classier looking lock. However, there is no need to change your lock after it has been rekeyed as there is minimal risk of being broken in to.

What is a restricted key system?

A restricted key system stops unauthorized personnel from creating or duplicating your keys. Only the person who set up the system or anyone who is authorized can duplicate the key. An I.D. and signature is required and the number of duplicates made is recorded.

Should my new safe have water protection?

This feature is useful if you plan to keep items which can be easily damaged by water inside the safe. Examples include documents printed on paper, flash drives, watches and electronics which are not waterproof. Keep in mind that there are two types of water protection. Waterproof safes won’t let water in when submerged while water-resistant ones can withstand water sprays and flooding up to a specific water level.
